Hansol Titan Dull Coated Hansol’s Titan coated papers are environmentally responsible and manufactured by the ISO guidelines for quality and energy management. Titan coated papers are FSC certified, and the pulp can be traced back to its original source.

Excellent Print Performance

Titan’s double coated formula has excellent print performance and is consistent on press. The coating is applied to paper for several different reasons, mainly to add certain qualities to the paper such as: durability, surface gloss or dullness, smoothness, or to minimize the absorbency of the ink for better printing quality.

Crisp Images

The coating applied allows the ink to “sit” on top of the sheet, which allows the images to appear crisp. Uncoated paper absorbs the ink, so more ink is required to manage print quality. The coating also causes a greater contrast between the printed image and the white space, making the printed image bold and stand out on the page. The fine detail of the image is evident.

Many Applications

There are many applications for coated paper such as; greeting cards, books, magazines, catalogs, brochures, post cards, leaflets, direct mail, and media inserts to name just a few. Items that someone may write on, (such as greeting cards and RSVP cards etc) a dull coated sheet works best. I always like to write a personal note on greeting cards. The gloss coated version can smudge and is difficult to write on.

If your project consists of folding, such as in a book, etc., then it is preferable that the fold should be parallel to the short grain of the paper, for best results. Folds against the grain can be unappealing, edges may tear or become frayed.
